Conventional arthritis treatment options

As with most conditions, managing arthritis symptoms often involves more than one treatment. This can include:

  • Pain relief and anti-inflammatory medicines

  • Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs)

  • Physiotherapy and exercise

  • Steroid injections for severe flare-ups

  • Joint replacement surgery in advanced cases

Although some people may find relief with a combination of the above, for others it simply isn’t enough.

Your safety is our priority

As a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated clinic, we are subject to independent oversight and regulation and operate in accordance with strict clinical governance protocols to ensure every patient receives responsible care.

We consider alternative treatments only when conventional arthritis medications or therapies have not provided sufficient relief or have caused unwanted side effects.

Consultations do not guarantee a prescription. Our clinicians only prescribe when there is a clear unmet clinical need and it is deemed safe for the patient.

Every prescription is validated by a specialist doctor and reviewed by a secondary clinical board to ensure suitability.

We will notify your NHS GP of your treatment plan to ensure your medical records are kept up to date. To ensure we care for you in the safest way possible we may ask to reach out to other people involved in your care.
